What this app does

Count It helps musicians connect standard rhythm notation to spoken subdivision counts. Use guided Practice mode to study the relationship, then Challenge mode to answer short multiple-choice questions with immediate explanations.

How to use it

  1. Choose Practice or Challenge.

  2. Select one of the three cumulative levels.

  3. In Practice, move through prompts, reveal the count, and study the subdivision guide and explanation.

  4. In Challenge, answer five questions and review the immediate feedback.

  5. Retry to build accuracy and improve the personal best stored on your device.

Controls and accessibility

  • Number keys 1–4: choose answers in Challenge mode

Count It provides visible focus, semantic controls, live feedback, and responsive layouts for phones, tablets, and computers.

Privacy

Count It requires no account or backend. Practice progress and scores are not transmitted. Lightweight preferences and the personal best stay in your browser's local storage.
